Re-living my worst dreams isn’t the typical activity I’d pick for a Tuesday night, but in their new sketch comedy show Dreamweavers, comedy duo Siblings make delving into the wackiest areas of the subconscious absurdly good fun.
Sisters Marina and Maddy Bye play scientist Dr Gargle and their long-suffering assistant in a clinical trial for a piece of equipment that allows them to see and translate people’s dreams. But something’s not quite right with them. As they travel through classic nightmares like giving a monologue you don’t know the words for or rapping a verse you never learned, or walking right into a wild west duel, Dr Gargle must also relive the loss of their family and try to get someone, anyone, to please bring him a Five Guys smoothie?

The sheer joy the Bye sisters take in being silly together onstage is infectious. They riff off each other with ease, get exceedingly close to breaking each other at multiple points throughout the show, and there were moments where the moment, or the character, simply takes over the dialogue. No joke reaches a natural end, rather it’s gleefully pushed beyond any boundary you may have imagined. I get the feeling this is never the same show twice, as they play off the energy from the audience and never let a laugh go to waste.
Blending common dream tropes and their own brand of inane, invented scenarios, the Siblings artfully bring you into their surrealist plot, with direction from Dan Wye providing just enough structure for the sketch comedians to run wild while keeping the story moving. The addition of a social-commentary-esque message at the conclusion could have been higher-impact, but it comes slightly too late to land.
The fever dream that is Dreamweavers will welcome you with open arms and an upside-down colander to the night of your dreams. No melatonin required.
After a London run in February 2026, Dreamweavers will pop over to Adelaide and Melbourne, Australia, near where its wine pairing calls home, and tour a few other UK spots. Find a show near you.
Orange Wine | Wine Pairing

An orange wine is always where my mind wanders when I see something zany, and with Dreamweavers I’m craving a wine that’ll send my tastebuds in an unexpected direction. Pick one with a good punch, like this Naranjito made by Somos Wines in McLaren Vale, SA. Made from the Verdelho and Viogner grapes. Offering a creamy texture, high acidity and a bit of a tang from the texture created by leaving these white wine grapes on skins, it really hits the spot.
